Grain Journal, GEAPS, NGFA partner for annual conference, tradeshow
It was a great year for CONVEY’24 July 23-25 at the Omaha Hilton. With a 17 percent jump in attendees and a 10 percent increase in booths it’s obvious—great things come out of working together.
CONVEY is a joint effort of National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA), Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) and Grain Journal, a publication of GEAPS Media Group.
“I’m so proud of the collaborative effort of GEAPS, NGFA and Grain Journal coming together to promote safety” said GEAPS’ Executive Director John Caupert. “There is no role or responsibility more important than ensuring a safe work environment for those who work to feed and fuel the world.”
More than a conference and tradeshow, this year’s program went deeper to explore the intersection of safety and new technology. While this was a great event for safety professionals and operations personnel, there was something for everyone at CONVEY. This year’s event featured educational sessions on a variety of industry-relevant topics such as energy efficiency, automation, human resources, technology and dust mitigation.
“Thanks to our valuable partnership with Grain Journal and GEAPS, CONVEY consistently delivers high quality, in-demand educational sessions each year,” said Jess McCluer, senior vice president, safety and regulatory for NGFA. “We continue to hear great feedback from industry members about the professionals leading these sessions for their valuable expertise across a variety of safety, regulatory, technology and operations topics. We are deeply grateful to the experts who volunteer their time to create a well-rounded and dynamic experience for grain handling managers and employees. We look forward to delivering more exceptional educational opportunities at CONVEY’25.”
New to this year’s event, attendees and exhibitors were able to start the networking early, with an opening night reception. The event was a great time for old friends to gather and new connections to be made.
When attendees weren’t learning in the sessions or from each other, they were able to learn about products and services to benefit them when they returned to work. All breaks and meals at CONVEY are in the tradeshow area, benefitting both attendees and exhibitors.
“Our exhibitors and sponsors played a crucial role in the success of CONVEY’24,” said Glen Gudino, president of GEAPS Media Group.
“Their participation added significant value by connecting with a niche audience focused on safety and technology in grain handling and processing. Exhibiting at CONVEY offers a unique opportunity to promote brands, products and services directly to key industry buyers and users. We look forward to welcoming both familiar and new exhibitors at CONVEY’25.”
